“High school, the best four years of my life”

School is a place to explore, to experience, discover you as an individual. Its believing, its achieving and a time to learn. Its expectations, developing responsibilities and its social. Highs, lows, emotions, romance, friendships, enemies, relationships, surviving, reputation, joy, sadness, broken hearts, academic, status, reports, temptations, rules and regulations and intimidation are words that all come to mind.
A belief that I have one to hold after starting high school is that private schools fall short of the most important benefits that public schools have to offer. Of course, the main purpose of going to school is to gain a good education that will help you be successful in the future.

My freshman year in high school was an amazing eye-opener for me. I met a greater variety of people in a single classroom at high school than I did in my elementary school. I have met people with long hair and short hair; I have met people with different religions, and others with no religions at all. I have met people who are two years ahead of everyone else, and others who are two years behind. There are jocks, musicians, bookworms, and others with outside the school but no one is judged for that, people can be whoever they want to be.  When I was in first year I elected as a treasurer in our classroom. At my first year high school life I had met many friends, one of them became my best friend he is a gay, he was always beside me when I have a problem and he was the joker in our group. But later on he's not been always accompanying me, you know why? Because my classmate said that he likes me. That's why he became shy and didn't dare to talk to me. I felt so sad at that time. My happiest moment is when we celebrated the Valentine’s Day, my friends gave me a valentine’s card, and one of them is the person who likes me. In addition to, I'm happy when the card day came, you know why? Because I'm always in the top 10 in our class and my parents are so much proud on me. And when the graduation days had come I have being awarded being the most trustworthy.

In my sophomore life, I'm also happy and sad in this year but I'm too shy, because these are my two years in the Bilad High School. I joined more competition in the school, like playing in Intramural day as a badminton players and I also joined in slogan contest.  And again I'm a treasurer in our classroom. And when the card days come I'm always on the top 10 and I'm more accelerated because I'm became a top 5 in our batch.
In my junior year, these are the year that I’m so happy. Because in these year, I was experienced my first junior and senior promenade. At that time I'm very happy because I'm wore a beautiful gown. In the month of March I was being awarded as one of the top 8 in our batch.
In my senior year, this is my saddest and happiest year in my high school life. Because at last I've finish my study at the four years in high school and this is the time to say "goodbye" to all of our classmates, friends and to all my teachers. I also joined in all competition in our school like joining in journalism contest. When the Graduation Day comes I was awarded as a Most Diligent. In the time of our graduation day all of us are so emotional.

This experience made me realize how valuable the social aspect of a public high school really is. I have heard adults told me that high school is going to be the best four years of my life. So far, they are right. I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience a public high school. I cherish every experience and relationship that I've made in my four years of high school. Of course, as I move on in my life, I will value the education that high school has granted me. But it is the relationship that I had made with students and teachers that I will take with me as I graduated high school and move on to college.

“A day in the life of a college student”

The college schedule is very different than the traditional high school student. Typically, there is a lot more flexibility with your college classes. The other cool thing about the college schedule is that you usually have more opportunities to explore your interest and passions. In college think about your schedule as a pyramid. Another big difference you should be aware of is the time structure. Right now, our probably schedule in school is from about 7:30 am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

I'm a college student of Tarlac College of Agriculture taking of Certificate in Office Management. When I was in first year college I felt afraid because I have met again a plenty of people, new classmates and professors. Before I studied at TCA it was so many processes, like submitting all the requirements and taking entrance exam, picture taking of your I.D, etc.
It’s so difficult to adjust to all my subjects because it is so different compared to my high school schedules. When the first day of first semester had started I’m so excited to go to school. Why? Because this is the day that I have learned again so many lesson. Almost all of my subjects in the first semester are so difficult, but even though I had enjoyed it specially the shorthand and keyboarding.
I met greater variety of people in a single classroom. I met Carla Joy Gutierrez, Marie Joy Odon, Rima Caballero, and Mark Romer Lico, Mary grace Ferrer, Jennifer Pascual, Mary Ann Amoroso, Myra Burbos, Maureen Joyce Joven, and Joana. I have met them and became my friends.
My challenging moment is when I was in first year I joined in ROTC. I joined there because they said that ROTC was so enjoyable than CWTS.  And yah! They are right, but I have many difficulties in that subject. You want to know why? Even the weather was so hot or rainy our training is still going on. I belong to the Bravo Company (first platoon) I learned and experience how to hold the riffle, how to command in the company how to march properly and how to be a good officer. It is so difficult but I enjoyed it. Because in all of our sacrifices at the end we are declared the winner in the of 2011-2012.
I experience also to join in socialization night. I felt so happy on that night because we danced all the time.  I experienced also watching a talented person in our intramurals. They played volleyball, basketball, badminton, sepak takraw, archery, swimming and chess.
I joined in mass dance and quiz bee in engineering week. I witnessed the beautiful and handsome faces of the Mr. and Ms. and also their talents. After our second semester we have a summer class in one month. And now I’m a second year student.

However, college is like high school in that you will the opportunity to get involved by joining different clubs, organizations, and maybe even by getting a part-time job.
The college schedule can seems   crazy at times. Doing homework until midnight is not exceptionally glamorous or easy, but I love what I do and all that I learned. The best and worst part of college is the flexibility it offers. You are able to. Choose everything: your classes, extracurricular activities, friends, etc. A great deal of responsibility and time management is needed, but with a bit of planning you can be very successful. Surviving college takes hard work! However, at the end of all this, you will have your degree, and no one can take that away from you. How cool is that?:)
